Altered Mini Canvas Set

I was inspired by my friend Miranda (MsLiberty25 on you tube) to alter a mini canvas set!I found them at Walmart in a set at Walmart for under $5!I wanted a pink scheme on one and an purple scheme on the other.I think they came out pretty cute! This was also my first time trying out the Martha Stewart sparkle texture paste, which I LOVE by the way!And it was also my first time playing with gesso!I love both mediums and can't wait to use them on future projects!Overall I love how this mini canvas set turned out and I can't wait to put them up on my shelf in my craft loft :)

Gothic Chic Altered Canvas

I made this canvas for a friend of mine and I can't wait to give it to her!I handpainted the skeleton cameo on it and used some texture paste all over the front.I used organza and pink rosette flowers to make it girly. My favorite feature of this is the black spiderweb that I incorporated! It gives it that very grungy kind of look! The saying on the bottom goes along with the painting-True beauty comes from within..I love this and I hope my friend will too!

My First Swap With Ann EverBlooming Crafts

I've never done a swap before so after becoming friends with a wonderfully talented and very creative lady through you tube,Ann from EverBloomingCrafts,I decided to ask her to do a swap with me!Our swap was to be an altered book stack and a card.I never made a card before so I was very nervous but it was very fun and I loved how it turned out!
The altered book stack was super fun to make and I wanted it to look like I just dripped paint and trinkets all over it!For both the card and the book stack I used the My Minds Eye Market paper collection.I am so glad that Ann loved the projects and handmade gifts I made her and I can't wait to do another swap with her soon!

Altered Book Stack

I altered a book stack I made and I absolutely love it!I constructed the whole thing out of chipboard and the paper collection I used is London Market by Pink Paisley.I had so much fun altering it with all the new embellies I got from Hobby Lobby the other day.I love the brand spare parts! They just have the most adorable embellies ever!
I wanted to stick to certain colors so I went with cream, light pink and black.I think that those colors go very well together and look almost classic.I also have been getting into making rolled paper roses and rolled burlap roses so I also embellished my books with those.Overall I loved making the books, even though making bigger books is a little more time consuming ..it's all worth it in the end :)

My First Book Stack

I just finished constructing my first book stack! This trend in the crafty community is too cute! The original tutorial I saw on you tube made it to where the books were kinda small,so I tweaked the measurements a bit and made each book different in size.
If anyone is interested in the tutorial,Annie MsGardenGrove1 on you tube put it together and it's a great tutorial! Here's the link:
